I .  · Every Sparrow Falling was released in at the end of a really busy year which, thanks to the NI Arts Council, I spent researching a new novel and working as the Online Writer in residence for the Irish Writers Centre. I’ve never travelled so much in my life, it felt like constant motion. As with her previous novels, Every Sparrow Falling is original and pacy, with convincingly flawed characters and a really believable setting in a fictional north coast seaside town. There’s a lot of humour, especially in the well-observed and largely affectionate portrayal of the Christian group - but as always with McMillan there’s a very serious story about identity and acceptance at the heart of the bltadwin.rus: 9.
